Warm funny, and brilliantly animated by Aardman, family favourite Shaun the Sheep has made it to the big screen for the first time in “Shaun the Sheep the Movie”.
The film is to be screened in Aden Country Park in Mintlaw on Saturday 6th June at 2pm in the Aden Cinema within the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum.
Shaun the Sheep Movie is a 2015 British stop-motion animated comedy film produced by Aardman Animations, based on the Shaun the Sheep television series, which itself is a spin-off from the Aardman series Wallace and Gromit which introduced the character of Shaun.
When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for.
Shaun’s mischief inadvertently leads to The Farmer being taken away from the farm, to the Big City.
Join Shaun, Bitzer and The Flock on their hilarious, action-packed, big screen adventure as they make plans to rescue the missing Farmer.
A story about how we sometimes forget to appreciate the things we have in life, and the people who love us.
Tickets are £5 for adults, £4 for concessions and £3 for under 16s and can either be bought online or from the Aden Craft & Gift Shop in the Aden Country Park.
Due to the limited size of the Aden Theatre we would advise purchasing tickets ahead of performance to avoid disappointment.
Neil Shirran, Aden Development Worker said:
“Shaun the Sheep the Movie will prove a big hit with all the family.
“Tickets are already selling fast so act now to ensure your ticket for this animation classic.
“The timing of the film has also been planned to provide an ideal opportunity to visit the recently refurbished Café at Aden before the screening”.
The new cinema venture is being undertaken by Buchan Development Partnership (BDP) and the Friends of Aden Country Park in partnership with NEAT (North East Arts Touring) Flicks and Aberdeenshire Council.
