Ronnie Arthur and the team at Buchan Radio will be pulling out all the stops to help celebrate the arrival of 2021 from the comfort of your armchair.

Ronnie told us: “John Cropley, who we lost earlier this year, used to always do a special ceilidh to take us into the New Year.

“While he has been a massive loss to the station, we are determined to keep the New Year tradition going and we will be bringing the party to our listeners to enjoy from the comfort of their homes.

“We will have having a special Hogmanay Show which will run from 8pm to 3am and it will be one big massive part.

“We have well-known local performer Catriona Molver – who is also one of our presenters – doing a live set.

“We will also have traditional ceilidh and then it will be party tunes throughout the rest of the night and into the morning.

“We will be accepting requets from our listeners and also special dedications if they want to give a shout-out to anyone and wish them a Happy New Year.

“I would like to thank Marco and Deborach from Marco’s Chipper and Pop’s Candy Store for all their support and hope that we can help folk enjoy Hogmanay even though we can’t have the usual celebrations.”
