Looking for something to entertain the kids this October Holidays?

Aden Country Park offers a unique opportunity to see “Trunk” this Saturday (October 11).

Trunk is a wonderful, interactive performance for 4-6 year olds created and performed by Julia McGhee.

The show centres around a travelling Trunk, from which a series of objects appear, and lead the children on a journey of their imaginations.

They go to the beach, take a train journey and jump over a river, before ending their journey under the stars.

Created with children for children, the show embraces the expressive arts and health and wellbeing aspects of the Curriculum for Excellence while at the same time allowing children’s natural imagination and movement to flow freely.

To date the show has toured to over 35 schools and venues across Scotland.

Feedback from both children and parents has been fantastic with all ages appreciating the simple but effective combination of dance, adventure and imagination.

After watching the show, a teacher at Fort William said: “I had two staff members with tears in their eyes.

“You need to let more people know about this, it is so wonderful for pre-school sector.”

Meanwhile a youngster from North Kessock said: “I loved the magic trunk, the stories and music, it was the bestest!”

Trunk will be performed at the Aden Theatre, Aden Country Park at 11am and 2pm.

Each performance is limited to 25 participants and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are £3 available from the Aden Country Park Gift Shop.

Those who are interested in heading along are advised to purchase tickets ahead of the performance.
